National Day and Me

What it’s like to miss the National Day, when my own brothers and sisters are happily celebrating the occasion? I know I am part of it but all I know is, what media informs me. What I do is, closely follow up with certain media and imagine I was right there.  Wonder, how I would feel if I was there the very moment standing and smiling before the beloved monarchs of Bhutan like I always wish. Well, it’s the 107^th National of Bhutan and the year is declared as the 60^th birth anniversary celebration of the Fourth King of Bhutan.

Indeed, King’s speech was inspiring, I read it online. I could see very huge crowds, I saw the picture. Every moment seems to be updated every single minute on that particular day, 17^th December 2014. Here, I am sitting and watching the wonderful occasion through my computer window.

Celebration in the fairy tale like Kingdom is something that everyone wishes to set for, and if you are a citizen of that Kingdom then the urges are extremely high like mine.

The Yak Dance - An Unique Traditional Dance

Yak Dance is often considered as the native dance of the Merak and Sakteng communities. The dancers traveled all the way from Merak, located far east of Bhutan to perform at the International Ethnobiological Congress in Bumthang. Various participants from 57 countries participated at the Congress and obviously the ceremony. This dance was one of the most prominent features at the ceremony and well it was a life time experience for me to witness it. 

Yak's expression seems to be excited  and yeah also it was worth watching. Culture is the one that has identified the unique identity of the people of Merak and Sakteng and Bhutan at large. For most of the communities in Merak and Sakteng, Yak farming is the main source of income besides agricultural trade and tourism.

Bhutan celebrates 2nd Mahasamadhi of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui

19^th March every year is observed globally over 120 countries to commemorate the Mahasamadhi of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui (GMCKS). Bhutan celebrated the Mahasamadhi of GMCKS at Deer Park, Thimphu for the second time on 19^th  March, 2014, first time being celebrated last year with the grace of Her Majesty the Queen Mother of Bhutan Ashi Tshering Pem Wangchuck. Her Majesty is the Patron of the Bhutan Pranic Healing Centre.

GMCKS is the founder of Modern Pranic Healing (healing through energy) and Arhatic Yoga and has millions of followers across the world. Mahasamadhi actually defines leaving one’s soul out of one’s physical body intentionally with certain means of spirituality. His soul left his physical body on 19^th March, 2007 for the betterment of the world.

Instead of mourning the Mahasamadhi of the Master, healers celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and love. Several healers gathered to offer butter lambs and paid tribute to the master. The wishful pranic prayers were recited and the divine Meditation on Twin Hearts practiced; the Twin Hearts pertain to the crown and heart energy centers (chakras). 

It’s like taking a spiritual shower!

The participant’s wishes were blessed and the energy (aura) cleansed. And obviously the participants blessed the mother earth with love, peace, light, hope and strength. 

I felt that the commemoration overwhelmingly enhanced our positive energy probably generated through the meditation on this particular day unlike other days. Well, I enjoyed the exercising and the dancing programs!

I salute you Master for the divinity you created to bless and heal the world.
