Buddha Dordenma statue is located on the hilltop of Kuensel Phodrang in Thimphu, Bhutan overlooking the South Thimphu. The statue measuring 169 feet (51.5 meters) once completed, is supposed to be the one of the worlds largest Buddha statue. The place has become popular among the Thimphu residents.
The statue covered with snow looks stunningly beautiful. Here are some of the still pictures photographed on 17th February, 2013.

|This is not Buddha Dordenma! It's a stupa (Chhorten) built in 1974 in the memory of the third King of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, who is regarded as the Father of Modern Bhutan.|
