Free Falling

I liked the song 'Free Falling' since I heard it for the first time. The song is sung by Tom Petty in his 1989 solo album ‘Full Moon Fever’. It has been on various charts for a long time now and even Tom Petty considers it to be one of his all time favorite song. According to internet sources, it all started with the producer Jeff Lynne while he was playing his keyboard using only three chords, where Tom Petty started to sing along with the chords. Finally, they reached to the completion of the first song of their album. They wrote the song together.

The song starts slowly as follows:

“She's a good girl, loves her mama
Loves Jesus and America too
She's a good girl, crazy 'bout Elvis
Loves horses and her boyfriend too

It's a long day, livin' in Reseda
There's a freeway, runnin' through the yard
And I'm a bad boy, 'cause I don't even miss her
I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart

And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin’”

The song conveys the message of his level of successes in his life and it is a truly inspiring song. It describes about the sad romance and emotions. It’s a song that I listen to whenever I feel lonely and depressed. It helps me out and of course other songs work out too.

It’s ending like this:

“And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin'
And I'm free, free fallin'
Oh!
Free fallin'
And I'm free, oh! free fallin'”

‘Free fallin’ has a strictly impeded meaning, which the object falling has no force acting upon it and it should be coming down. If object goes up probably it should be ‘free rising’ or ‘free flying’. Probably, I would like to be free flying or am I thinking too much! Whatever, the song is great! And of course Tom Petty!

Election of National Council, Bhutan, 2013

Election of the National Council (NC) of Bhutan is due to held on 23^rd April, 2013. It is scheduled in reference to the expiry term of National Council on 28^th April, 2013, so that the House is reconstituted upon the expiry of the term. There are 67 NC candidates participating in the election, of which five are female. National Council consists of 20 members. 

I will be among the 3, 90,000 voters of which around 1, 95,000 are going to be women. I am voting this time and it’s the first time that I am voting. I will be  voting through postal ballot for the lone candidate Dasho (Dr.) Sonam Kinga from Tashigang District. At least, I was expecting two candidates from the highest populated district. 

Another aspiring candidate withdrew at the last minute, I don’t know why although I got to hear so many reasons. Neither I don’t know much about the withdrawn candidate but I do know something of Dasho (Dr.) Sonam Kinga. I appreciate him for being a good role model for the younger generation. It was indeed nice to hear that he is re-contesting. I wish him the best of the wishes.

This Chorten is located in the heart of Thimphu city. Longed to photograph it at night for quite sometime. It was built in the memory of late 3rd King of Bhutan.

Buddha Nature

I always wondered, how does Buddha nature feel and experience. Lately, I liked the experience of meditating on inner peace. Now, I am concluding it to be a near to Buddha nature experience. It’s so calm and peace inside; everything seems to be still, silent and non-existent. One doesn’t think of any thoughts, no good thoughts and no bad thoughts. The world seems to be paused for a moment. One feels delighted and peaceful.  

Now, I respect everyone who meditates and understand them on how they feel. The feeling is awesome. I guess for those who meditate regularly, they might be experiencing bliss, peace or Buddha nature. 

April Fooling Around Itself

As usual I was watching TV at my home. I was not aware of the April fool’s day until I got a call from an unknown girl from an unknown number. Still I don’t know who that girl was. I expected the girl to be one of my friends, but the girl was hiding her identity from me. To my surprise she proposed me! I got no words to say, I was silent and blank. After a while, all I got to say was “What the hell?” I thought many thoughts; I don’t know who she was, I don’t know her name, she won’t reveal her identity, I don’t know where she was from. It was like testing my reflex.

She didn’t reveal anything of hers. She just proposed me and all she wanted was an answer to her proposal. What I did was, asking who she was all the time. She was forcing me to answer her. She forced me many a times and I was insisting her to reveal who she was. It went on like this for quite long time until she concluded a negative response from me, although I didn’t say anything. She hung up the call and I was back into watching TV.

After a while, she called me back and told me that she wanted to fool me as it was April fool, but she couldn’t. I felt so fortunate that I didn’t respond anything to her proposal; otherwise she was supposed to laugh at me. I still wonder who she is! It was exciting though and it has alerted me to be aware the whole day.

Where, I have started with the letter ‘A’ today (Monday, April 01, 2013) for my theme. I am thinking of posting mini-post when time doesn't permit. I wish I can do it till the end and hope time paves way for me. 

Letter to Guru Rimpoche

Dear Guru Rimpoche,

I know you have been watching me since my birth

Guru Rimpoche

You are still watching me
And you will continue to do so, with your blessings

You know what I did right and wrong
You know everything of mine
Sometimes you make me sad and sometimes happy
You put me in the trouble and take me out of it
I don’t know why I am here
I can’t make world a better place
Guru, show me the right way
Give me strength and hope
For I wanted to serve my parents better
And the world at large

Guru, please answer my prayers
And show me the light
Where, I will be good to the world
For I don’t know when I will be leaving this world

Mahasamadhi of Master Choa Kok Sui - First Time in Bhutan

Around 50 Pranic Healers and non-Pranic Healers celebrated the Mahasamadhi of Master Choa Kok Sui (MCKS) on 19th March, 2013 at YDF, Thimphu for the first time in Bhutan. 

Master Choa Kok Sui is the founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga. He was born on August 15, 1952 in Ceba, Philippines and his soul left his physical body (Mahasamadhi) on 19th March, 2007. 

The 1st Mahasamadhi celebration was graced by Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Pem Wangchuck and the Senior Pranic Healer and Trainer Mrs. Shakun Goyal from New Delhi. The event was organised beautifully which led to the generation of an exceptional divine feelings. The event was celebrated in Bhutanese style, with the lighting of 108 butter lambs, offerings and prayers. Slide shows of the Master were presented after which a song dedicated to Master and the Pranic Healing was launch; it is sang by the beautiful and renowned Bhutanese singer Mrs. Dechen Pem. As usual her songs are sung from the heart and with full dedications. Thereto, some traditional and modern Bhutanese dances were also performed.

The wishes of each and every person were noted down and then blessed. The wishes are wished to be fulfilled. Meditation on Twin Hearts was practiced by both the healers and non-healers. Its a Meditation which keeps our mind in the state of peace and divine harmony. After the meditation the energy level in the hall was just awesome, it was full of positive energies and the people in the hall seemed to glow from their faces. Some meditated for the first time and some experienced differently, whatever, meditating on the day of Mahasamadhi is so special and only those lucky ones grab it. I was indeed lucky to be the part of the celebration and it was a very different and unusual experience for me, which is of-course good for me.

The testimonials shared were so inspiring and encouraging. For sure it has changed their lives and effected them in a very positive way. I could grasp how effective Pranic Healing was! I know it did take the toll in me. All I could say now is "Wow!". I am convinced now that the Prana really does the positive effect in each and every aspects of Human life and eventually the one's soul. Pranic Healing is like a thing, which is at first, hard to believe until one gets to experience it. 

I have learned that instead of mourning for the death of Master, we celebrate! For him, it is just like, his work on earth has been completed and its time for him to leave; his soul left the physical body for good and the betterment of the world.

Wangdue Phodrang Dzong

Wangdue Phodrang dzong which was built in 1638 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel was gutted by fire on 24th June, 2012.
